sand bucket and spade - check

sun screen/cream - check
beach ball - check
all in one rainsuit - check
rain booties - check
rain slicker - check
crayons and paper - check

You get the idea! Nothing was packed for nought...
Set up tent in pouring rain, with George's help
Made it to the beach on the east side of the island one afternoon for sand and water play
and made it to the west coast to look at the chalk "needles"
All in all a good trip and worth trying again in the future :)

= Pick your own. A nice day out for George picking strawberries at a farm, until he fell onto a pile of stinging nettles. Fortunately, his discomfort was short-lived thanks to his dad and local dock weed. How many strawberries do you think a 17 month old could eat?? You'd be surprised - definitely got our money's worth!

Are we mad (crazy)?

Here's our new 6-person tent ready for a 4 night camping trip with George. He's afraid of the tent and doesn't like sleeping in his porto-crib but we hope the beach and new scenery will win him over. The whole experience is bound to be an adventure!
