An historian?

George went to his first English Heritage site - Stokesay Castle (the best preserved 13th century fortified manor house in England) in Shropshire. Surprisingly, he stayed awake for almost the entire visit! His proud parents think he may become an historian...it would run in the family.

Progress?

He can briefly hold his head up while on his tummy, and bear weight on his legs (without balancing), but he won't grasp a rattle. Go figure.
Had his first jabs on Thursday, one in each leg, and was anything but stoic! Always a pleasure to have the red-faced, arm-and-leg-flailing crying one when the other baby in the room was quiet, placid and alert.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Perhaps I should clarify that George is nowhere near crawling! The picture is of him holding his head up while on his abdomen - and separately he can bear weight on his legs if someone is holding him around his rib cage. "The books" indicate this is not abnormal for his age. Sorry for any confusion!

2 months

He was 11 lbs, 2 ozs a few days before his 8 week birthday and overall well in himself. He visited the land of his Cornish ancestry for the first time last weekend and enjoyed the sea air and lots of attention! Today he was a star at his baby massage lesson - seemingly enjoying showing off his 'birthday suit'. Sorry - no pics this time!

Best we could do

This is the best we could do in terms of showing George's smile. He does have a proper one, but it is difficult to catch on 'film'!
Busy week for G - antenatal class reunion, postnatal class introduction, and a 6 week MOT with the pediatrician. All is progressing without worry.
