Big week

Busy week for George!
He decided to try his hands at the piano, rather than feet this time!
He was also introduced to rice cereal. It's difficult to know if he liked it; he opened his mouth for each spoonful, but grimaced and spat most of it out.

P.S. These photos may be a bit misleading...he doesn't have much manual coordination at all - he's only 4 months! We just thought the photos were cute.

Big week - Part II

George had his first trip to London this week. He took the Tube and relaxed while his parents lunched in Grosvenor Square. He also had his US citizenship officially recognized, being granted a passport. The Embassy official was kind enough to explain that, due to proposed changes to the Constitution, George will be eligible to run for President of the US. One will no longer be required to be physically born in the US to become President, as long as he was an American citizen at the time of his birth. If it weren't for the age restriction, I'd encourage him to run straight away! He couldn't do much worse...

Spring has sprung...

... as evidenced by George's contemplation of a career in flower arranging. He's got the potential for inheriting good genes in the subject matter. Here he admires Forget-me-nots in Lidwell.

George visited Cornwall this past weekend, and loved his walk through the woods en route to Bellever Tor.

Tango no Sekku

Happy Boys' Day! The fifth day of the fifth month is Boys' Day (also children's day), a national holiday in Japan. It's a chance to honor children, as they represent the future of Japan. George's dolls commemorating the fighting spirit of Peach Boy were on display, as well the carp flags, highlighting the perseverence of the fish on its upstream swims.

Soccer...er, football

George knows that every English dad’s dream is for his son to play England Football. Here G practices/practises his pedal dexterity with his elephant toy ball. He’s not ready to start bouncing it off his head quite yet!
Actually, George can often be seen chewing the elephant’s ears. We pretty sure he’s teething now, although no teeth are in sight or palpable by finger. We’re hoping it’s not too long a stretch ahead.
